The plate is then printed under high pressure on the press and the ink as well as texture (in negative) of the plate are transferred to printing paper. I have used my jack pressto print collagraphs in intaglio but really a proper roller press is called for. There is a beautiful technique wherein a coarse muslin in glued down to the board.
